NJHS

The National Junior Honor Society is a national organization that recognizes students in middle school for their achievement in academic scholarship, leadership, service and character.

Applications for the NJHS program are accepted every spring, typically due in March. Students apply in 7th grade to become members in 8th grade.

Clint Small Middle School was granted its NJHS charter in 2016 and is obligated to follow the national standards, not expectations set by the school district or campus. NJHS members (8th graders) and candidates (7th grade applicants) participate in many service activities to benefit their campus and community.

If you have questions, please contact our campus NJHS sponsor and CSMS Counselor Ms. Carmen Castaneda at carmen.castaneda@austinisd.org.
